Stephen has been practicing Heart Rhythm Meditation for over 20 years and teaching HRM for over 15 years . He is an iamHeart Mentor, Hurqalya Healer and teaches meditation both in-person and online. He leads the Hazrat Inayat Khan Healing Ceremony for iamHeart’s prayer circle once weekly.

Stephen taught music in Maine public schools for nearly 50 years and is now retired.

I’ve had the extraordinary fortune of knowing Susanna and Puran since I was a kiddo, have watched my mother’s spirited relationship with iamHeart over the years, and have just miraculously graduated from iamU this past year. More and more, I see how much being connected to people who are connected to their hearts truly impacts my life. Heart Rhythm Meditation is a force for reconnection - to myself, to others, to music, to the One. Six years ago, I was in a bicycle crash and sustained a TBI (traumatic brain injury). When nothing else makes sense, there is the heartbeat. The more I hear my heartbeat, the more music comes.

Carol McIntyre has played the harp most of her life. She has relied on her musical sense to carry her, give her direction, and share the beautiful sound of the instrument with others. As a child, she naturally gravitated to her harp—even if she didn’t practice — she would sometimes just sit with her instrument silently. She leaned into playing it even more when needing comfort — it became a real friend that was always with her.

Classically trained, receiving a BA in music from Stanford University, her skills were developed, bringing her work in orchestras, ensembles, churches, and schools. Carol experiences music coming from her heart, through her arms, and flowing out of her hands. Most of the time now she realizes the energy is flowing through her, and gets chills up and down her spine. She feels an intense amount of love and gratitude for Heart Rhythm Meditation, which has brought meaning and purpose to her music and life. She finds her joy in expressing musically her gratitude — while sharing and realizing she has reached her listener(s).

Audrey Patterson has been practicing Heart Rhythm Meditation formally since 2017 and has completed several of iamHeart’s programs, including iamU, the Mentoring program, and the Hurqalya Healing program. She is currently in the Heart’s Mysticism program.

As a classically-trained musician, she learned piano at an early age before learning the violin. Music has always been an integral part of her life, and she minored in music at Lake Forest College, where she played in the college and local orchestra. She began more formally writing music a couple years ago, while studying for her M.A. in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University. She currently works as a counselor, energy-worker, and coach in Fort Collins, Colorado.
