The Symbolic Rebirth – The Dead Heart Awakens

 

The discovery of the soul is one’s encounter with the infinite, eternal and perfect aspect of self.

In the Path of the Heart, this occurs as the experience of the Heart of one’s heart, the Heart of all hearts.The Path of the Heart is not only given in words; behind the words there is an eternal life, a spiritual force which can bring a deadened heart to life. At this moment when the heart of the world is as dead, the Path of the Heart is a calling to awaken the heart of humanity. The more living the heart the more sensitive it is; that which causes sensitivity is the love element in the heart, an unconditional love. The person whose heart is not sensitive is without feeling; his heart is not living. In that case the divine spirit is buried in his heart.

The heart can be best described as a glowing fire if it is living, but when it is dead it is like frozen snow. The more living the heart is, the more magnetism it has; without magnetism the heart is not yet awakened; it is asleep.

One may live in a community where there is always amusement, pastimes, merriment, and beauty; one may live that life for twenty years; but the moment one realizes the movement in the depths of one’s heart, one feels that those whole twenty years were nothing. One moment of life with a living heart is worth more than a hundred years of life with a heart that is dead.
